There are a lot of options to choose from when building a gaming PC. So it’s important to choose the best processor, that offers you the best value for money along with the best performance that you can get for each penny you pay. That’s why here are the best gaming processor you can buy under ₹20000 or $250.
And the goal here is to get the highest performance compared to the money you are spending. So let’s see the best gaming processor under ₹20000 or $250.
Don’t miss on Best Gaming Processor Under ₹15000 or $150.
Intel’s Core i5 series is very popular among gaming enthusiasts. Every new generation in the i5 series brings better performance at a medium price. And Core i5 10600 does that even better, as the performance offered by Core i5 10600 under ₹20000 or $250 is really best for every buck you have to spend right now.
This is a 6 Core 12 Threads CPU with a base frequency 3.30GHz and Max Turbo Frequency up to 4.80GHz. Core i5 10600 has a 12MB Intel Smart Cache and a TDP of only 65 Watts. It supports DDR4-2666MHz Memory up to 128GB.
The Core i5 10600 brings a higher thread count and higher clock speeds at a similar price to the previous generation. This means you get higher clock frequencies, higher thread counts at a similar price to the previous generation.
Intel i5-10600 even includes an integrated graphics card. Which is not present on AMD processors in a similar price range. Now, this might not be a big deal for a gaming setup, as every high-performing gaming setup will need a dedicated GPU for gaming. But for anyone who needs a high-performing CPU for other tasks, this becomes a plus as you don’t need to get a separate GPU to use a high-performance CPU.
And if you are getting a dedicated GPU for gaming then I will suggest getting Intel Core-i5 10600KF instead which is unlocked and doesn’t include integrated graphics. Along with saving some money, you will also get better performance for gaming as you can overclock the i5 10600KF. So overall 10600KF or 10600 is the best gaming processor under ₹20000 or $160.
AMD Ryzen series since launched has brought some of the best processors for budget customers. Along with lots of features in the budget segment that were previously only available in high-end processors. And similarly, Ryzen 5 3600 also brings great performance along with some great features in the budget segment.
Ryzen 5 3600 is a six-core 12 thread CPU that has a base clock speed of 3.8GHz and has a turbo clock speed up to 4.2 GHz. It has a 35MB cache which is quite awesome and has a TDP of 95W. It is manufactured using TSMC 7nm FinFET process making it better in terms of thermals. Ryzen 3600X also supports PCIe 4.0 which makes this processor more future-proof.
Ryzen 5 3600 comes pre unlocked which lets you easily overclock it and achieve higher performance. And the support of PCIe 4 allows for a much faster data throughput for solid-state drives. Which could also improve the performance of Graphics cards in the future. This also supports faster RAM up to 3200MHz which benefits gamers to achieve higher FPS.
Overall it’s a great mid-budget CPU except it’s a year older compared to Intel i5 10600 and in terms of performance Ryzen 3600 lacks Intel i5 10600. If you want a future-proof processor with PCIe and faster RAM support then you can go for this processor.
Intel i5 10400f is also a 6 core 12 threads CPU with a base clock at 2.90Ghz and turbo up to 4.30Ghz. This has a cache of 12MB and a TDP of 65 watts. Overclocking is locked which means you can’t overclock this processor. It supports RAM up to 2666MHz and does not have PCIe 4.0 support.
Since we are looking at i5 10400f it does not have integrated graphics. This means to get a display you will need a dedicated GPU. But this saves you some money compared to the integrated graphics i5 10400. This money can be invested in purchasing a better GPU which is better for gaming.
This is a similar processor to i7-8700 but only with lower clock speeds and at almost half the price. In terms of performance, it lacks a little to the Ryzen 3600, and while in some games it can perform even better.
So if you are looking for the best performance this can be the best processor in the price segment. Although if you don’t have a budget issue then you should go with Ryzen 3600 or i5 10600 which is a more future-proof processor.
Ryzen 3500X is 6 cores 6 thread CPU which has a base clock of 3.6GHz and a max boost clock up to 4.1Ghz. It has a cache of 32MB with a TDP of 65w. This is a China Only processor means it was exclusively launched for China market. This means it might cost you much higher if you still plan to buy it in any other country.
It does support PCIe 4.0 and RAM up to 3200MHz. Performance-wise this processor is slightly better than the Ryzen 3300X and a lot slower than the 3600. This is because even though it is a Six-core CPU it has only 6 threads while 3600 is a 12 thread CPU. There is also a drop in clock speeds which affects the performance.
You might get Ryzen 3500X and Intel i5 10400f at a very similar price right now. So if you just want to get better performance in stock conditions then go with the Intel i5 10400f. While if you are into overclocking or if you are ready to get a slightly lower performing processor but with more future proof features then only go with the Ryzen 3500X.
Ryzen 3300X is a four-core 8 thread CPU with a base clock of 3.8GHz and turbo boost clock up to 4.3GHz. This processor has 18 MB of cache and a TDP of 65W. This processor is built using on 7nm process and also supports PCIe 4.0.
Don’t just go on a number of processors and threads, this is really a capable and high-performing chip compared to the price it was launched. If you could get this processor around $120-$130, then this could be one of the best processors in this price range. And it also provides you one of the best prices to performance ratios. For any build that’s going to use 1650 super or lower-performing GPU, this can be one of the best GPUs.
The problem with Ryzen 3300X is, it’s not easily available right now. And mainly at its original pricing, it’s a rare sight to see. But if you could get one at its original price of around ₹11500 or $120 then this could be one of the best processors for you. Unless you plan to buy GPU more powerful than the 1650 Super.
While making a decision there is a thing that you should know, which can be most important if you are building a gaming PC. When you are building a gaming PC with 1650 Super or lower performance GPU then there is no use in getting a more powerful CPU than the Ryzen 3300X. Since in almost every single game your GPU will be the bottleneck in the performance.
You should only get a better CPU if your CPU is the bottleneck this happens when your GPU is more power full than 1650 Super. If you are not going to get a better performing GPU than 1650 Super then Ryzen 3300X is your best processor for gaming.
Here are best budget gaming processors that you can buy under ₹15000 or $120.
These are the processors that I think are the best gaming processors under ₹20000 or $250. If you want the best under this price range then Intel i5 10600 is for you. Although if you are looking to build a budget gaming PC then go with the Ryzen 3300X since anyways most budget GPUs will not be able to take any advantage of a higher-performing processor than this.
