But if you want advanced features then you are better using GIMP. And compared to other software on this list DigiKam has higher system requirements.
Inkscape is an open-source vector graphics editor, it’s more of an illustrator as compared to a photo manipulation software. The interface of Inkscape is a little cluttered.
But when you get used to it, it can offer quite a lot of features. Inkscape supports a lot of files and you can also apply a huge number of filters.

Inkscape requires a processor of 1 GHz and a minimum of 256 MB RAM. Inkscape requires 302 MB and Inkscape Control Console requires 869 MB in total it requires 1171 MB.

Pixlr X is a browser-based photo editor, so you will need to install it on your system. It has a nice user interface with a choice of the dark or light color scheme.
